How to use Voltaren Emulgel

Voltaren Emulgel is a topical alternative based on diclofenac, ideal for inflammation and relieve pain in trauma, rheumatic or arthritic, muscle aches, sprains, strains, backache and various conditions to bone or muscle level. However to get the best effects and especially ensure our health, it is important to know its proper use. So in this article, we explain how to use Voltaren Emulgel correctly.


The first thing to consider when using Voltaren Emulgel is that this is a topical product to be applied on the affected area, avoiding sensitive areas like mucous. Under no circumstances should ingest this medicine.

Apply a portion of Voltaren Emulgel to the extent of the affected area. A spot the size of a cherry is sufficient to treat a small area, while some Voltaren Emulgel the size of a walnut is appropriate for a larger area.

Once you have applied Voltaren Emulgel in the affected area, massaging gently for a few minutes to relieve discomfort and swelling. Repeat this process three to four times a day for best results.

Use by more than 14 days in trauma or injury to soft tissue or muscle is not recommended. Neither should be used for more than 21 days in cases of rheumatic or arthritic lesions. Its use should only extend over these periods if it has been recommended by a doctor after a complete overhaul.

The use of Voltaren Emulgel is not recommended for patients under 12 years. Do not use if sensitive to diclofenac.
