What are the stages of sleep

Sleep
Sleep is a time when the human body is completely relaxed and rest. Which is not to say that our bodies stop lock, is that while we sleep a series of physical changes that start about two hours after sleep onset and feature various stages occur. Are you curious to know how they work?

In phase I the body is slightly asleep, so that you may still receive stimuli from the environment.
The muscles relax, eye movement is slow and the brain enters the first time of the call theta phase.

In Phase II, our nervous system blocks the possible entry of every impulse from outside. Disappear eye movements and muscle tone is lower. Here we are in full theta phase. We can consider at this stage something deeper and quieter than the previous dream.

In phase III enters sleep much deeper stage. Arrival of sensory impulses are completely blocked, whatever they may be. The muscles are completely relaxed and theta phase is almost over, entering the body in full phase delta.

Phase deeper sleep is the IV. In this, the dreams take shape image, lights, figures and even stories. This phase is where disorders such as sleepwalking or deep sleep disorders manifest.

In the REM stage is where we have dreams just as we represent: as narrative. Alterations in these phases are nightmares and sleep paralysis.
